  247.          I use three special .newsrc files in my home directory.

  257.          I do any editing of these files by downloading the and editing
  258.          them offline and re-uploading them. (I like my editor more than
  259.          the Unix ones).

  261.          The way things cycle is to copy x.******.newsrc to .newsrc,
  262.          do a UQWK to produce SOUP files, compress them together, and
  263.          copy the UPDATED .newsrc file over the top of x.******.newsrc.
  264.  
  265.          This is repeated for the other two groups and then BOTH files
  266.          for each session are downloaded. i.e. x.******.zip which contains
  267.          data and x.******.newsrc which is a safety backup of the last
  268.          .newssrc for ****** to be used for recoverys (if needed HeHe...).

  270.          I have only needed these safety backup a few times, BUT when you
  271.          do you will REALLY bless the auto process to capture them......
  272.  
  273.          You will need to change MY x.******.newsrc files to match you ISP.
  274.  
  275.          At the end I modify the files by appending the date and time for
  276.          later reference. (you need this when you are capturing several
  277.          megs a day of newsgroups).
